Every event starts here, in an empty room, at an hour nobody wants to be awake. Press play, mute a few channels, and hear what falls apart.
Every event starts as a silly idea somebody refused to drop. This pulls a random Indian brief out of thin air, real venues and all, then hands you the problem that comes with it.
Music has shaped every version of me, from the shows I grew up glued to, to the gigs and festivals I now want to help put on the ground. Somewhere along the way I stopped wanting to just manage the artist on stage, and started wanting to be in the room where the stage, and the whole event around it, gets built.
Most of the work I've done so far has been on the execution side of it. Festival stages and brand activations, from NH7 Weekender and C.O.R.E to pan-India screenings for a 1,500-ticket Heineken final. Somewhere in the middle of all that is when I realised I was more drawn to the build than the show. The vendor calls, the guest lists, the run of show, the last few days before doors when everything is moving at once. That's the part of the job I actually chase.
So the next chapter looks less like managing one person's calendar and more like event production, logistics and on-ground operations. Whether it's a brand event, a conference, a festival or a launch, the discipline underneath is the same, and it's where the culture actually gets made. Sound-wise I still live somewhere between chaotic hyperpop and noisy electro, with a lot of spacey house and techno in the mix.
